Event Description

The third meeting. Programme:

- 18:00 - 18:30: arrival + welcome + food
- 19:00: any presentations people would like to give
- after that: coding katas in scala

Our idea is to pick one or more coding katas from the http://codekata.pragprog.com/ site and try to implement them in scala, discussing the results afterwards. If you have time before, please go through the list of katas on that site and see which one would be interesting to implement in scala. There's about 20 of them so picking on on the evening itself will not be too hard either.

See you there and please take your Scala books !!

erg handig :( 3 meetings op dezelfde avond: devnology, nlgug en DuSE. Ik heb me al opgegeven voor de nlgug meeting.

I have written some examples on internal and external DSLs in the past and would like to give a presentation on that (with code). Thinking about 45 minutes.

*sigh* I'm just too busy to attend. Still think Scala is cool though, and want to remain a member just in case I come to my senses and relax with some sweet Scala... ;-)

Marktplaats office entrance: http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=UTF-8&q=wibautstraat+224+amsterd...

It's opposite the Amstel NS station, that's the easiest way to get there :)

My scala book is with me. I like the coding kata idea... but have also prepared a presentation on writing DSLs with scala which would take about 45 minutes; it is very code-focussed ;)

Cool ! That means we'll have a nice full program tonight.
