The fifth DUSE meetup! And I am pleased to announce that TomTom is welcoming us at their headquarters, in Amsterdam. Not only will they sponsor the entire event, but they will also offer a sneak peak into the internals of their Scala based software. Totally cool!
But hold on, there is more. We will also have Martin Odersky and Phil Bagwell joining our meetup.
The agenda is not carved in stone yet, but it's probably going to be a little like this:
- Welcome, food, "wassup ?", etc.
- Eric Bowman (TomTom) talks about Scala at TomTom
- Martin Odersky and/or Phil Bagwell
- Any other points people bring up
Originally, we considered adding a couple of other topics to the mix (Play comes to mind), but in face of Martin Odersky and Phil Bagwell being present, it's better to postpone that to some later date.
TomTom is located right in the heart of Amsterdam. You can easily get there by train (Central Station, leave the station from the front side, and follow the railway tracks on your left). If you happen to come by car, you can park in the parking lot beneath the library. TomTom is located at the back of the library.
See you there,
Wilfred
