NLJUG University Session - Advanced Scala

Hi Scala Enthusiast,

I'd like to remind you of the upcoming NLJUG university session about 'Advanced Scala', which some of us organize in the spirit of 'get loose with Scala'.

We have a lot of new material and want to show you that even in your current POJP you could put the power of Scala to use and achieve a higher productivity level!

In this University Session we will, amongst others, cover the following topics:

- A look at more advanced features of Scala, such as:
-- Parser Combinators
-- Implicits
-- advanced matching
-- Scala and the database
-- Scala types
-- etc.

- New features of Scala 2.8

A variety of Hands-on Labs wait for you to get your hands dirty and do some real Scala programming. We will have a lot of new exercises prepared, from "Hello World" to advanced. Each will help you get a deeper understanding of the features covered in the presentation.
